Website Info

I created this website to track my own findings and projects related to my 2009 Chevrolet Silverado.  I've mostly owned older GM trucks (the solid front axle kind) but I've also owned a 1999 GMT800 Silverado.  This truck is the third brand-new vehicle I've purchased (a 2007 Pontiac G6 and a 2008 Pontiac G5 were the first two).  While the G5 came and went in 10 months, I plan on keeping this truck for some time.

My Silverado

GTO 6.0 BadgeI have a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 4x4 extended cab standard box (CK10753) with the LT trim.  It's a GMT900 truck.  It's a half ton.  It has a L76 6.0L and a 6 speed automatic transmission (a 6L80e to be precise).  It has a 14SF rear axle with 3.42 gears.  Yes, it has factory 20" wheels with the chrome plastic wheel covers.  Seems kind of silly to have 20" wheels and towing mirrors.

Since purchase I've debadged it and added a GM emblem to the left side of the tailgate and a GTO "6.0" badge to the right side of the tailgate.  It has also gotten a Pendaliner bedmat, a Delta aluminum toolbox, and Weathertech Floormats.  I have airbags to go on it and mudflaps as well that I haven't gotten to yet.

So far, I've only created one How-To and it's how to install the Driver Information Center buttons if your truck didn't come with them.
